Founded in Goa, Florence & Co. is a conscious home fragrance and self-care brand rooted in intentional living, transparency, and compassion. Known for its handcrafted, non-toxic, vegan, and cruelty-free products, the brand creates sensory experiences that elevate everyday rituals without compromising the wellbeing of people, pets, or the planet.
What began as a personal pursuit for clean, safe candles has evolved into a purpose-driven full-time venture—one that blends sustainability, craftsmanship, and soulful storytelling into every product.
Born from a Deeply Personal Need.
When founder Anushka Vernekar began using scented candles at home, she quickly noticed the lack of ingredient transparency in mainstream options and grew concerned about the hidden toxins they often contained—especially with a young kitten, Florence, around. Unable to find candles she could fully trust, she decided to learn the craft of clean candle-making herself.
What started as a personal experiment soon took on a deeper purpose. Anushka was already actively feeding and caring for stray dogs in her community, and she began selling her handmade candles to fund their food and medical needs. The brand grew organically from there—never planned as a business, but shaped by passion, values, and lived experience.
After graduating college and realising how deeply fulfilling this work felt, Florence & Co. naturally became her full-time venture—built with intention, heart, and an unwavering commitment to conscious living.
